The Sands Cottage, Seahouses

The Sands Cottage is a traditional, dog friendly, stylish stone-built fisherman’s cottage located in the centre of Seahouses on the beautiful Northumberland Coast. 

With our village location we are only a few minutes walk away from dog friendly beaches ; Seahouses Harbour where you can take boat trips to the Farne Islands ; and plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants to choose from.

Boasting sea views from our top floor we sleep 6 - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ; 2 Kingsize and 2 Singles (or 3 Kingsize on request). Travel cot and highchair available.

We welcome 2 well behaved dogs ; sometime more on request.

Stylish design, real open log fire, free super fast WIFI, gated outside area with seating, private parking  for a small car & parking permit for free car parking in Seahouses Main Carpark ; only a few minutes walk away. High Chair and Travel Cot can be provided on request.

The Sands has private membership for a local leisure club only a few minutes walk away, including free parking.
The leisure club has facilities including indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The pool times have kids sessions and adult only times if preferred, entrance fee applies. Details provided.

Cottage Description:

Ground Floor

Living room area is open plan, tastefully decorated with an open wood fire for the colder evenings. With Smart TV with Netflix, DVD player and 2 comfortable designer Joules sofas.

Kitchen is well equipped with all you would need, including washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and built in fridge /  freezer (3 full drawers).   

Dining area has seating for 6 and a highchair available on request.

First Floor there are on the first floor there are two generous rooms and main bathroom.

Room 1 has a Kingsize bed with pocket sprung mattress, 2 bedside tables with lamps, dressing table with mirror and chair, ample built in storage with mirrored wardrobes.

Room 2 has a Kingsize bed with an internal built in wardrobe, bedside cabinet with lamp and mirror.

First floor bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower with dual mixer shower, toilet, basin and heated towel radiator.


Second Floor:

Room 3 has 2 singles or made into a King-size on request, with an area for dressing, Alexa and amazing views to the sea and Farne Islands from the Velux windows. This space has a couple of beams as an old fisherman’s cottage so has some height restrictions and may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or have difficulties getting in / out of the bath.

Second Floor Bathroom : Bath with shower mixer taps, toilet and basin, heated towel rail, height restrictions ; bath area.

Front:

To the front of the property has a gated courtyard with a bistro style table and two chairs, accompanied by a bench perfect for finishing the day with a glass of wine, watching the world go by. This area is gated so also secure for dogs. At the bottom of the street there is a beach with the harbour a few minutes away.

Parking :

Unusual for a town centre property, we are lucky to have off-road private parking space for one small sized car to the rear of the property. We also have a parking permit you can use during your stay which gives free parking to Seahouses Main Carpark, only a few mins walk away. This permit can be use for parking in other areas of Northumberland, details given and restrictions may apply.
